Chapter Two

When Eira woke, she was still in her blue knit sweater and white leggings, but she lay in an underused, strange bed that, while comfortable and warm, was not hers. Chitty also lay sleeping on the pillow next to her, softly purring in her sleep. 

Sitting up, Eira took in her surroundings; a roaring fireplace took up nearly half the wall in front of the bed, the walls were a soft, petal pink and cream, and the furniture reminded her almost of a ski lod...
