Introduction
Meet sci-fi author George Brad Million

"I am a lifelong learner who thoroughly enjoys reading everything I can get my hands on," says sci-fi author
George Brad Million. "I have discovered a love for poetry that has been developing in me for several years; the power of prose in poetic form is something I am thankful for daily. I enjoy expressing the means and methods of today's political climate in my writing, through creative expression of what I believe the government is up to. I am driven by a need to form these ideas in a manner that will be interesting to readers."
Welcome, Brad. Why are you drawn to the world of indie publishing?
I am inspired by the ability of authors to circumvent the status quo of the publishing world. To be unconcerned with rules on creative expression is fundamental to me, which is why I believe the indie genre of writing is great.
It can be very inspiring to hear about someone who overcame a big life challenge. What's yours?
I have a saying, attributed to the Chinese. The phrase is more a curse, but I find the words beautiful: "May you live in interesting times." I have been through many travesties, but the biggest one was my first heart attack.
Who's been the biggest influence on your writing?
Anne Rice and Thomas Harris are two of the most influential authors that have imparted on my ability to write. Anne's expression of nature in her detailed words vastly enabled me to use my imagination. And Thomas's detailed world, created by his research, is something I aspire to emulate.
What inspired your very first novel?
The wonderful friends in my community. Their trials and tribulations, expressed to me through their words, inspired each and every detail of my first novel. Communicating with them has enabled me to be creative in every word I choose.
Why was your novel a story that needed to be told?
Because I feel a need to express how, and for what, the current political climate is attempting to achieve.
Any last thoughts?
"It takes a village to raise an idiot," but an entire society to achieve my ability to express myself.
George Brad Million is a writer from Port Charlotte, Florida, a beautiful community located on a brilliant lake. He loves the area because there is a wonderful promenade and park, and the area is surrounded by trees. Brad's writing career started with tragedy: a couple of major strokes causing a devastatingly drastic change in neurological function. Staying up for prolonged periods, he became driven. Currently, Brad is working on a trilogy entitled
Nexus Prexus. One of his favorite hobbies is training functional strength on the daily.
