Chapter 10

Oh my god.

Leaning against the door frame with his arms folded across his chest, grinning at me, was Xavier. He was wearing a black vest top which hugged his body in all the right places, his biceps were bulging, and I could see the outline of his pecs straining through the T-shirt. He wore dark grey jeans that showed off his leg muscles perfectly and black lace-up timberland boots that were undone slightly. He looked a hot mess, and I felt my body shiver with anticipation. Deep inside me, I felt my wolf growl with hatred.

“I don’t think someone is very keen on me,” Xavier noted, walking towards me slowly.

“Um yeah, sorry it’s my wolf. She doesn’t really like you right now. But I...” I stopped, blushing, looking down at the floor.

“But you do, yeah?” Xavier grinned, cupping my chin in his hand, and lifting my head, so my gaze met his. “Let me guess. Our minor problem of Tom,” he sneered in disgust while glaring at me.

I bit my lip nervously and moved my head away from his hand.

“I’m going to have to sort out this minor problem obviously. I would have thought you would have rejected him by now,” hissed Xavier in annoyance.

He looked angry and his eyes narrowed as he looked down at me.

“I don’t know what to do right now,” I replied. “I need time Xavier.”

“TIME!! YOU NEED TIME!! WELL, YOU ARE MINE!! NOT HIS!! MINE!!” Xavier roared, slamming his hand into the wall beside my head, while glaring at me.

I jumped backwards in surprise at his anger and nervously, I shrank back, a little bit afraid of the man that was now stood in front of me.

“You are my Luna, and this is how you show me your loyalty!” he spat, placing his palms on the wall behind me and leaning over me.

“I’m simply confused. That’s all,” I tried to reason, while looking down at the floor and trying not to cry.

Wow. Someone has anger issues, clearly.

“Confused!?” laughed Xavier sarcastically.

He looked at me and smirked. “Run along little girl. Come back to me when you have made your mind up. I’m beginning to think I’m wasting my time with you!”

My mouth dropped open in shock at his cruel words. Hurt, and upset, I looked up and watched him storm off up the marble steps and out of sight. In the distance, I heard a door slam and then there was nothing but silence. My wolf was up on edge, and I could feel that she wanted to go and challenge Xavier, but I decided against it.

Tom would never treat us like this. Just reject the Alpha, I heard her sing happily.

I looked up and saw Rachel stood on top of the stairs, watching, puzzled. I quickly made my way out the front door before anyone else came to see what the commotion was about. Not really paying attention to where I was going, I found myself walking up alongside the house to where I had gone to at the garden party for that fateful sneaky fag.

I walked around the corner, and soon enough, the back of the kitchen came into view. The door was wide open again, and an aromatic smell filled my nostrils. I breathed in deeply and sighed blissfully. It smelled like roast pork, and I felt my belly grumble with longing and hunger.

Go in. See if Tom is in there, my wolf begged desperately.

My wolf could hardly contain herself with excitement. She knew Tom was in there because she could smell him, and she could sense him. I could feel that she was on full alert and a small whine involuntarily escaped my lips. I was about to step forwards when a familiar figure came running out of the door and stopped abruptly in front of me.

Tom.

I was nervous, but I could feel the electric sparks slowly radiating all over my body like little pools of fire. I slowly walked up to him and smiled nervously, tucking some strands of hair behind my ear.

What was happening to me?

I felt like a giddy schoolgirl but my wolf, however, was ecstatic. I could feel her purring like a cat who had the cream. Tom walked over to me and wrapped his arms around my back and pulled me into a tight hug. Suddenly, I felt myself being slammed against the wall of the house, and Tom’s lips were on mine, kissing me passionately. His hands were entwined in my hair and tugging at it gently. I opened my mouth slightly, and I felt Tom's tongue enter my mouth, exploring every inch in a lustful passion. I could feel my skin burning and my body getting hot. A wanting need had started to grow, and I felt a funny feeling erupting from down there.

My wolf was howling with excitement. She wanted him so badly. She was trying to take over and come out, but it took all my strength to keep her contained. I stretched my neck as far as it would go, giving Tom more room to bite me and claim me as his. I closed my eyes and waited for the sharp, piercing feeling of teeth penetrating my flesh. Instead, Tom instantly pulled away and looked at me longingly. Our breathing was laboured, and he looked at me carefully, up and down and smiled gently.

“No! Not here. What are you doing tonight? Meet me. I need to see you,” he gasped, taking a step back.

I looked at him in confusion, then trying to gain some composure before I opened my mouth. “I don’t think I’m doing a lot to be honest with you. I have only just moved in to the Packhouse and I don’t know anyone here yet,” I replied breathlessly. “Why did you stop kissing me?”

“Meet me tonight. Down by the lake. Let’s call it a date night. We both need to find out more about each other first. I can’t have you here, not right now. I want to make it special for you. But I will need to claim you soon before you get stolen from me. I know Xavier has bonded with you and he won't stop until he has claimed you for his own!”

“Stolen from you? I don’t think my wolf would let that happen!” I purred in response.

She wouldn&rsquo...
