"So, school starts back soon doesn't it Daisy?" Robert asked as he pulled stock from the back shelves at the market.
"Yeah it sure does, I will be so glad to be finished and on to college." Daisy said as she fiddle with some twine she fell on the floor.
“Well, don’t rush it. I know you hear that a lot and you will hear it a lot more, but I am serious when I tell you that adult life isn’t what it’s all cracked up to be. What are you going to be studying in college?”
“I’m still trying to decide but I am leaning towards veterinarian. Growing up on the farm, I have seen a lot of sick animals. It just feels natural to be in that field. Plus, our farm will be round for generations to come so the skills will definitely come in handy.” Daisy said as she stood up and helped Robert pull stock.
“Do you still want to see if Violet needs your help in flowers, Katie?” Robert asked as he sat a box on the floor.
“Yeah sure, I have gotten a green thumb as well by farm living.” She laughed.
“Awesome, come on, I’ll walk you over there.”
Violet was standing at the display case. Daisy remembers coming to see her when she was ten. Violet gave her a big toy daisy that she could put in her bedroom. She still has it even now.
“My, my, aren’t we all grown up now,” Violet said as she walked to give her a hug.
