5am, I look at the clock and decide enough is enough. No sense lying here waiting for sleep that isn’t going to come. I may as well make an early start. I head to the shower and start making myself presentable for the day ahead.

I’ve got time to spare so I can make a bit more of an effort than usual, I take the time to curl my hair and fasten it into a more sophisticated up-do than my usual messy bun. I put on a full face of make-up instead of my usual moisturiser, mascara and lip balm....
