It's nearly three o'clock by the time we sit down to eat. The table is stripped of its decorations to allow room for the food and wine. It looks and smells amazing and reminds me of family dinners when Mum and Dad were still together.

Rolo's dad has changed into trousers and a smart long-sleeved top; he stands to carve the turkey and grabs his glass of wine.
