by Megan Baughman

Elizabeth is fighting to keep her humanity, but she doesn't know how much longer she can deny her new nature. "Sounds interesting!"

Chapter 1
Elizabeth

The touch of his hand burned her skin. She retreated as deep into the corner of the room as she could, weeping softly.

“I won’t hurt you,” he said gently as he extended his hand toward her. He had said and done this same thing every night for the last three months. Something in her wanted to believe him. Wanted to believe that he wasn’t like the others.

Chapter 5
Elizabeth

It look a moment for her to fight through the grogginess and for her eyes to adjust to the dark. Her hand immediately flew to her throbbing neck. Her stomach rumbled.

It was then that she noticed she wasn’t alone.

“Beth?”

She didn't recognize the man immediately through his overgrown beard but she knew that voice.

“Daddy?” Despite her stiff sore joints she immediately leapt up and hugged him.

“I can’t believe you’re aliveā€¦ I ...
