Who is This?
I was in a bad mood all day long. After school, Charlie walked with us again. We talked about things that happened in our classes, but there was no laughing and joking. Alli and Meg are really good about reading me. They know when I’m in a bad mood. When Charlie said goodbye at his corner, I felt I owed him an apology, but I just couldn’t talk about it yet. I know it sounds silly, but everything was going so well this morning until the rain hit and washed all the happiness away. We said “see ya later” to him and he left.
“Lu, you can’t be mad at Charlie. He didn’t do anything,” Meg told me.
“Yeah, Lu, he’s been great. We’re sorry we laughed when we all got soaked, but it was kind of funny,” Meg added.
“I know,” I admitted to them. “It’s me I’m mad at, not anyone else. I was just mad because everything got messed up again when it started out so great. I’m sorry I’ve been a jerk all day. I promise I won’t do that tomorrow. And I’m going to apologize to Charlie. I’ll call him when I get home.”
“Don’t worry, Lu. Things will get better soon. I just know they will.” Meg patted me on the shoulder.
