Daniel

Daniel breathed heavily, his puffs of air visible in the cold. He had gotten to the cabin just as the sun set. Once inside he locked the door and barricaded it with the old kitchen table and chairs. It wouldn't do much again against them, but it was better than nothing.

From outside the cabin looked abandoned. It's windows were broken and boarded up. The structure even leaned a little to the right, as if one stiff breeze would knock it over. That was good for him. Outside of town, no sign of life, ...
