As I stepped out on to the patio, the warm afternoon sun hit me in the face. I lifted my face and let the rays soak into my skin. It felt so good to be back outside and away from Xavier’s office. I frowned deeply and scanned the garden for Cierra. I spotted her standing on the lawn beside my Mum, who was talking to two people that I had never met before. I scanned the garden once more, trying to find my Dad but he was nowhere to be found.
I wonder where Dad is?
I swiftly made my way over to Mum and Cierra, and I noticed that people were walking out of my way and stopping and staring at me. Some of them were even bowing their heads, and some of the girls were glaring at me angrily. I tried not to notice and carried on across the lawn. After what seemed an eternity, I finally stood alongside Mum and Cierra.
“Wow!! You really do reek of the Alpha!” Cierra whispered excitedly.
“Don’t even go there. It’s a long story,” I mumbled, glancing nervously at the people stood around us who were watching intently.
“Yes, your Dad did mind-link me to tell me what was going on,” Mum replied. “He is having a quick meeting with the other Warriors and the Beta, and then we can be on our way home. You need to pack, remember. Especially now that you have been claimed.”
The other two people that mum was talking to made their excuses and quickly left so we could continue with our conversation.
“We better be going. It was lovely to see you again,” the woman said, touching my Mum’s arm gently, glancing at me, before leaving, with a tall blonde man hanging off her arm.
“Who’s that?” I asked Mum, watching the couple merge into the crowd and out of sight.
“Oh, that’s Jane and Greg. They work for your Father and me. Jane is a Hunter, and Greg is a Warrior,” Mum replied, standing tall and scanning the crowd.
“Anyway, what’s going on?” Cierra interrupted. “Why is you bonding with the Alpha a long story. It’s simple. You’re going to be a Luna.”
“Because I haven’t bonded with the Alpha!” I hissed. “I’ve bonded with the pissing Omega. I went for a sneaky fag, bumped into him, and felt the connection. Dad dragged me away kicking and screaming to the Alpha’s office, and he instantly bonded with me.”
“Wow! A love triangle! How exciting,” Cierra muttered dryly. “You don’t do things by half, do you?”
I rolled my eyes at her. “I need to find Dad and apologise anyway,” I muttered to Cierra quietly, hoping that Mum didn’t hear me.
“Why? What have you done?” Mum snapped, her head turning in my direction, confirming that she did indeed hear me.
“Um, well when he tried pulling me to the Alpha’s office, I kind of lashed out and slapped him,” I whispered, looking down at the floor and feeling my cheeks burn with embarrassment.
“You did what!?” my Mum barked.
I could hear that she was annoyed and as I looked her up, her facial expressions confirmed it. She was not happy, and I felt her steely glare burn into my soul.
“I’m sorry okay. I just lashed out. I didn’t mean to!” I protested, “I didn’t exactly plan this to be honest with you. The Alpha wants me to reject Tom and be with him, but my wolf has other intentions.”
“Do you want Tom?” hissed Cierra through gritted teeth.
“It doesn’t matter if she wants Tom or not. She is not staying bonded with him. He is an Omega and is in no way shape or form suitable for Leah. I don’t know why she bonded with th...
