Something Unexpected

The sun began to climb in the brisk morning air of Spring. Trinkets of the nights rain were still fresh upon the earth and droplets fell off the leaves. It was looking to be a picturesque morning as the forest was awakening to the sounds of morning.

Chapter 2
It began with the worst day ever (revised)

The rain was coming down in thick white sheets and the city streets were starting to flood. Apologies were hardly heard as people bumped into each other while rushing along the streets hopelessly trying to stay dry with their heads hidden beneath umbrellas, and jackets pulled tightly against the wind and rain. No one seemed to notice the teenage boy in a dark-blue jacket, hunched over by his backpack and no umbrella over his head.

Chapter 3

As Sparticos laid there in the alleyway, unconscious with the rain pouring down upon him, he started to dream. There was smoke in the air. A fire. His dream showed a forested landscape where every thing was burning. Standing atop a hill with a large pile of dead bodies collected underfoot was a figure incased in black armor. Though he didn’t know how, Sparticos knew it was a female, but who she is and where was this he did not know.
