It began with the worst day ever (revised)
The rain was coming down in thick white sheets and the city streets were starting to flood. Apologies were hardly heard as people bumped into each other while rushing along the streets hopelessly trying to stay dry with their heads hidden beneath umbrellas, and jackets pulled tightly against the wind and rain. No one seemed to notice the teenage boy in a dark-blue jacket, hunched over by his backpack and no umbrella over his head.
